There has been talk over the years of having our neighborhood designated as a Vintage District due to the concentration of vintage shops, each one unique and with its own special offering. If you’re planning a trip to Philly, our hotel is steps away from some of the best vintage the city has to offer. Here are some of our favorite vintage shops within walking distance of YOWIE Hotel.

Retrospect Vintage @retrospectvintage – The OG vintage shop in our neighborhood, Retrospect is best for graphic tees, vintage outerwear, and more! They also have an Etsy shop if you want to shop after your visit. We find the best time to visit Retrospect is mid week and on Saturday mornings when lots of new items usually hit the floor. They also have an Esty page if you’re out of town and check their instagram for themed drops like Levi’s jeans, vintage sports gear and more!

Raxx Vintage Emporium @raxxvintage – Great for vintage jewelry, army/navy pants, and more. Located next to our favorite hardware store, Cohen’s! Follow Raxx online as one a month they hold an open house at their bulk vintage warehouse, great for folks who love the hunt and ready to dig for goodies.

B-Bop Vintage @bbopvintage – For lovers of patterns and 70s looks, B-Bop has a playful assortment for browsing and dressing up. B-Bop is a great place to find that outfit-completing accessory, scarf or extra bit of sparkle.

Wayward Collection @waywardcollection – Expertly curated with some of the most iconic pieces, with designer shoes and accessories to top off your look. We’re always impressed by how fair the pricing is for the goods, many of which are designer pieces or smaller labels from the past that you’ll be bookmarking to learn more about.

Moore Vintage Archive @moorevintagearchive – Exceptional taste and encyclopedic knowledge of design make Moore a destination for fashion lovers. Keeshawn often features the work of Black designers as well, such as Patrick Kelly and Lou Badger. If you live in New York, Moore frequently participates in vintage markets in New York, LA and more!

Ace Outpost @aceoutpostphilly – A great selection of vintage alongside a wonderful place to have coffee or catch up with a friend. Look out for their monthly wine pop-up with local restaurant Mish Mish @mishmishphilly

At My House @atmyhou.se – Inclusive sizing makes this collection extra special, and they offer workshops and monthly events to introduce you to makers and artists. Check out their events calendar on Instagram to plan your next visit!

Sweet Peel Vintage @sweetpeelvintage – Great for eye-catching pieces and accessories. They also carry disposable cameras and film to capture your next adventure.

Vagabond @shopatvagabond – One of Old City’s best boutiques, and those in the know go here for their great selection of jeans and outerwear. Vagabond also carries a roster of beautiful brands from all over the country.

Stickball @stick.ball – An elevated curation of clothing and objects. They also hold great events featuring makers and other vintage sellers. Spend some time here—there’s lots to see and you don’t want to miss anything. Make sure to check the jewelry case for a beautiful selection of silver and their rotating book offering.

Snail @shop_snail – A new addition to Old City featuring slow goods, vintage, and homewares. Located in a bright and airy space.

A Four Foot Prune @afourfootprune – A whimsical collection of homeware and objects that is sure to have something for everyone. There’s a new surprise (of every scale) peeking around every corner.

Most of these spaces are a short walk (read 5 mins) from our hotel. Plan your next trip to Philly and explore all of these shops and more by booking your stay with us!
