(According to Our Guests)

- Rick and Ruth -
Rick and Ruth are an older couple visiting family in the Queen Village neighborhood. They’re looking to explore some of the tourist destinations nearby without having to get in a car.

Rick and Ruth arrive at YOWIE Hotel and drop off their bags with our staff to explore the Queen Village neighborhood before their 4PM check in.

Rick and Ruth stop by the YOWIE shop to browse some of the curated design objects and work by independent labels, artists, and emerging designers available for purchase.

Rick and Ruth head to the nearby Headhouse Square Farmer’s Market at the historic Headhouse Shambles to browse local produce and grab a few items to enjoy during their stay.

The couple split one of the best cheesesteaks in the city down the street at Jim’s South Street.

They make their way to Moore Vintage Archive, a vintage archive library and shop, and then stop by The Merrygold Shop to browse unique gifts to bring home to their friends and family.

The couple check into Suite 302 where their bags are waiting for them. They put away their farmer’s market haul in the fridge and make a cup of tea on the stovetop while settling in for the evening.

- Felisa -
Felisa is a solo traveler who took a short train ride into Philly to visit friends and have a weekend away. She’s looking to go thrifting, check out the local art scene, and enjoy dinner and drinks at a cute restaurant while staying at YOWIE.

Felisa’s first stop is YOWIE’s store, where she browses through art books and perfumes.

Felisa finds a notebook in the store and takes her purchase through the adjoining door into Forin Cafe to sip on a coffee and write while waiting for her early check in.

Felisa checks into Suite 303 and takes a moment to relax, look out the bay window, and browse the YOWIE catalogue before heading out to explore South Street.

Felisa grabs a bite around the corner at Famous Fourth Street Delicatessen, a historic deli with a century-old legacy, and takes one of their famous chocolate chip cookies to munch on as she walks around.

She heads to Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens to admire the towering mosaics of local legend Isaiah Zagar.

On her way back to the hotel she stops by Retrospect Vintage to shop through their curated selection.

Felisa goes next door to Repo Records to flip through records and check out the local Philly music section.

She finishes the night grabbing drinks and food with a friend at Crybaby Pasta before walking back to the hotel to get cozy and turn in for the night.

Whether you’re in Philadelphia to enjoy art, food, or history, we invite you to our neighborhood guest room to enjoy all that South Street has to offer.
